Their 7 system sizes will fit just about any normal installation, and since the parts are standardized, should something happen to your door system down the line, a simple phone call to Bilco can provide you the necessary parts you need to get you back up and running in just a few days.
If your existing Bilco needs repair, T. Wolf stocks hundreds of spare parts, should someone need to get their old Bilco system back in order. Bilco no longer manufactures their torsion rods, or their older door leaf design (pre 2008), but T Wolf stocks, and ships refurbished torsion rods all over the continental US, to his customers, when available. Give us a call to see if your torsion rods are in stock. We will need the physical measurements of the housing, and approximate age of the unit, in order to determine if your torsion rods are available.
Bilco also manufactures their Stair Stringer assemblies, which can quickly replace your old wood steps that lead up out of your basement to your yard. These are an ideal replacement, as the steel stringers isolate the wood treads from the masonry walls, preventing direct wood tread to cement contact. This can significantly extend the life of your stairs up and out of your Bilco door entrance.
